Art of Falling

Sometimes we fall, and it’s good to be prepared for this. I’ve been practising and coaching falling techniques, and have developed a workshop to get rough and ready for falling in any direction.

The classic “parkour roll” is only part of this: there are also techniques for falling sideways, backwards, saving yourself from a bellyflop, and what to do if it isn’t possible to roll.

The workshop combines understanding the underlying principles of falling and landing, learning the techniques for different fall situations, and training it to be an instinct for a real fall situation. It is suitable for people of any fitness ability and background. It starts with small, safe versions of each type of fall and builds up the intensity and size of the fall The workshop can also be adapted to a particular sport or type of situation.
